Wellbeing of Women in partnership with Stirred launched a transformative campaign to promote a new Period Symptom Checker, shining a light on the critical yet often overlooked issue of painful and heavy periods. The Period Checker was launched at a prestigious parliamentary event on 11 February 2025, communicating the urgent need for timely diagnosis and effective treatment of menstrual health issues.

This vital part of the ongoing Just a Period campaign centred on the urgent need to 'call time' on the suffering women endure due to menstrual symptoms. The hero image, a powerful hourglass figure shaped like a female body with blood replacing the sand, delivers a stark message that it’s not 'just a period.’ This impactful visual is complemented by compelling statistics, illustrations and case studies that vividly depict the real life consequences of untreated heavy menstrual bleeding and pain. The multi-channel approach, including influencer, OOH, social, PR and corporate partnerships ensured widespread visibility and engagement, reiterating the importance of prioritising menstrual health. In just the first week, 5,000 women visited the website to complete the period symptom checker, marking a powerful stride towards closing the gender health gap.
