Sky Access All Arts

Client: Sky

Sky Arts partnered with We Are Futures to create Access All Arts. A free, national, long-term initiative tackling the systemic decline of arts education in UK primary schools. Designed to address deep inequality in access to creative opportunities, the programme responds to evidence that children from wealthier families are over three times more likely to access extracurricular arts, while 93% of young people are excluded from arts provision due to state school underfunding. With 76% of teachers reporting arts deprioritisation, Access All Arts was built to close this gap at scale.

Launched in 2022, the programme aims to reach 1 million children by 2026, prioritising high-FSM and under-resourced communities while embedding creativity as a foundational future skill. Its strategy is insight-led and built on four principles: equitable national access, teacher empowerment, collaborative creation, and sustained impact. Content is co-developed with educators and delivered through a simple Discover–Explore–Make–Share framework, ensuring confidence and accessibility for all teachers. The programme combines 80+ hours of artist-led digital content, five modular creative pathways, high-profile creative contributors, live lessons, Creative Careers resources, and a partner hub featuring 50+ cultural organisations. It blends a national Access All Arts Week with year-round integration, ensuring longevity and repeat engagement. Impact is clear: 89% of teachers say it enables more arts activity, and 98% report increased pupil engagement. Access All Arts represents a scalable, collaborative and joyful creative learning ecosystem delivering meaningful, sustained change.
