For Every Future

Greenhouse Sports

For Every Future was a collective act of belief in the futures of young people facing poverty.

Delivered over a 36-hour match-funded window, Greenhouse Sports’ largest fundraising campaign set out to raise £4 million in unrestricted funding to support young people growing up in the most disadvantaged communities. With every donation doubled, the campaign created a clear, time-bound moment of urgency. The campaign well exceeded its target, raising £4.5 million from 1,455 individual donors and unlocking the full £2 million match-funding pot. This equated to approximately 62% of Greenhouse Sports’ annual voluntary income, raised in addition to existing income streams and secured within just 36 hours, an exceptional result for a mid-sized charity delivered with no additional headcount. This funding supports Greenhouse mission: to give young people facing poverty a fair chance at life. By placing full-time Coach-Mentors in schools in areas of highest deprivation, Greenhouse builds confidence, improves school engagement and raises aspirations through long-term, trusted relationships. Crucially, this was an unrestricted appeal. At a time of increasing need, this funding strengthened the charity’s financial resilience, enabling sustained long-term delivery for over 8,000 young people annually. The true power lay in mobilisation. More than 150 individual champions (staff, coaches, trustees, alumni, partners and supporters) were empowered to personally drive donations through their networks. Hundreds publicly shared why they believe in the mission. At its heart were real voices. Story-led films, supported by tailored digital toolkits and personalised fundraising links, made advocacy accessible and confident – and hugely succesful.
