Client: Maybelline New York
Globally, mental health is in crisis, and its impacts are universal. From stigmatisation in communities to lack of access to mental health resources, millions of people are navigating unaddressed psychological distress. Maybelline New York launched the Brave Together programme in 2020; an initiative which works to improve access to mental health support around the world. Since inception, Brave Together has supported over 45 NGOs in more than 39 countries to deliver mental health services to 1.65 million people. As part of this effort, Maybelline New York engaged BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions to produce a mini-series for them to shed light on mental health challenges in India, the United States and Japan, showcasing the mental health programmes supported by the initiative, and the people delivering and impacted by the incredible work in this space. This mini-series formed part of a wider series on global health called Healthier Together, presented by WHO Foundation and consists of three documentary-style films that tell the stories of both the barriers to care and the people working to change mental health responses for the better.
