#ALifeInterrupted

Epilepsy Research UK

Epilepsy interrupts the lives of ordinary, extraordinary people.

It's invisible. It's unpredictable. It's frightening.

A life free from epilepsy is possible.

But only through research.

We explore the ordinary, extraordinary lives of Doug and Ava and the potentially devastating consequences of epilepsy. A hidden condition, more stigmatised than mental health, that affects 1 in 100 people, that has serious life-changing and often life-threatening consequences. Yet in between seizures, people may appear unaffected.

We share a detailed analysis of the staggering inequalities in research funding for people with epilepsy and inspire the audience into taking action by signing up to become an active member of the Shape Epilepsy Research Network and enable them to 'have their say'.

This campaign has been more successful than our wildest aspirations. The response and feedback from the epilepsy community, including people with the condition, their families, carers, academics and clinicians have been overwhelmingly supportive and excited.

If your life has been interrupted by epilepsy,

You can shape the future of research.
