On 9 December 2019, 300 teenagers packed out the intimate underground club Gorilla for an exclusive show, headlined by London based rapper Not3s and Birmingham Grime artist Jaykae.
The spectacular show was the accumulation of the 6 week Apprentice Nation program which ran from October - December 2019 in Manchester. Apprentice Nation (presented by pro-social production company, RockCorps and apprenticeship training provider, WhiteHat) is supported by brand partner BT and uses the power of music to educate, inspire and motivate young people to consider an apprenticeship as a great alternative to university. Our vision is to create a Britain where apprenticeships are equally valued to university. The only way to get a ticket to the show is to attend an Action Day where young people are given lots of tools, advice and inspiration for being work ready and taking steps towards landing their dream career. The unique and first of it’s kind program delivered 12 Action Days across Manchester and had a huge positive impact by successfully raising awareness and increased sentiment towards apprenticeships in young people across the city.
